Phuket Authorities Arrest Suspect, Seize Firearms at Reservoir

Phuket officials have launched a swift operation following public complaints of firearms being carried and discharged near Klong Kata Reservoir, a popular area along the new road connecting Chalong and Patong in Mueang Phuket District. Residents had raised concerns that such activity posed a danger and created fear in the community. Under the order of the Phuket Governor, a joint team comprising the Phuket Provincial Police Commander, Phuket Tourist Police, Chalong Police Station, and the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) led the investigation. The operation successfully identified and arrested one suspect. During the arrest, authorities seized multiple firearms from the suspect. The suspect is currently under interrogation at the Chalong Police Station, with further investigations ongoing.
