Vietnamese Woman Takes Oath as Judge at International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea

Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh of Vietnam has been sworn in as a judge at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS). This marks the first time a Vietnamese national has held this position in the tribunal's 30-year history, with her election securing the highest votes from the Asia-Pacific region, signifying recognition of Vietnam's legal expertise and contributions.
