Influenza A Cases Rise, Speaker Puan Urges Government to Enhance Education and Promote Health Protocols

Cases of Influenza A (H5N1) are showing an increasing trend in Indonesia. In response, House Speaker Puan Maharani has strongly urged the government to enhance public awareness campaigns and rigorously enforce health protocols such as hand sanitization and mask-wearing. Speaker Puan emphasized that to curb the spread of infection, active information dissemination by the government and the daily practice of health measures by every citizen are indispensable. Influenza A is particularly concerning due to its high transmissibility and potential for severe illness, raising public health concerns.
