Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Ko Lay, accompanied by officials, on August 3, visited the demonstration plots in Ward No. 3, Nyaung Aing , Kanbalu Township, where local farmers were showcasing the use of natural pesticides sprayed on a four-acre plot of Yezin Pigeon Pea (9) variety belonging to farmer U Naing Oo. The Chief Minister cordially met with local farmers and, in response to their presentations regarding agricultural activities, coordinated with relevant officials to address necessary matters, including ensuring the availability of input fertilizers, access to pedigree seeds, and agricultural loans. Afterward, the Chief Minister and officials proceeded to the Kanbalu Agricultural Farm in Kanbalu Township, where they observed a 12-acre sunflower field of the Yae Sin (1) hybrid variety for seed production, along with the spraying of input fertilizers. They also visited cattle breeding farms and a fattening pig breeding farm, inspecting operations and coordinating with officials to address needs. Subsequently, the Chief Minister attended a ceremony to distribute village land rental grants held in Leik Htu Village, Kanbalu Township. After delivering a speech, he and officials handed over the grants to local residents, covering 99 households in Leik Htu Village. In the afternoon, the Chief Minister attended a coordination meeting with district and township-level departments and town elders at the "Shwe Si Myaing" Hall in the Kanbalu District General Office. He delivered an address at the event. Following this, district and township-level officials and town elders discussed and presented matters related to the development of towns, wards, and villages within Kanbalu District. Region government members and region-level department officials then clarified the status of their respective departments' implementation efforts for the development of Kanbalu Township. Next, the Chief Minister presented cash of honor to security personnel deployed for stability and peace in Kanbalu Township. Afterward, the Chief Minister addressed the attendees' discussions and presentations, coordinating with officials to fulfill requirements, and delivered a concluding speech. Then, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the "Sein Nadi" multi-type cotton and Kachin fabric machine and handloom factory in Ward No. 5, Kanbalu, as well as the "Khan Yar Yadanar " rice mill, coordinating with officials to address any necessary matters, it’s reported.
