Truck Driver Dead in Fiery Highway Crash in Prachin Buri

PRACHIN BURI, Thailand – A truck driver was killed after a trailer truck overturned and burst into flames on Highway 304 in Prachin Buri during the early hours of Friday, forcing authorities to close the downhill carriageway while firefighters battled the blaze. The crash occurred at around 12:30 a.m. on July 18 on the downhill section of Khao San Pu Thon in Kabin Buri district. Emergency responders and rescue volunteers arriving at the scene found the articulated truck completely engulfed in flames. One person, believed to be the driver, was found dead beside the wreckage with severe burn injuries. Firefighters were called in to extinguish the blaze, while police closed the downhill lanes because the overturned truck blocked the roadway, leaving traffic unable to pass.
