Today, the Myanmar Army's Southeastern Command's Infantry Battalion 22 and DKBA forces are launching an offensive by dropping bombs with drones and firing heavy artillery at the border areas near Phlu Village, Min Lpannt Village, Phlu Cemetery, and Htee Nu Kro Camp, where resistance forces under the Karen National Union (KNU) are located. Some of the artillery shells fired during these battles landed inside Huay Mahawon Village, Huay Mahawon Village Tract, Mae Sot Township, Tak Province, Thailand, damaging two houses belonging to local residents. However, Thai authorities have announced that there were no casualties or deaths. Currently, the Thai Army's Ratchamanu Special Force, Mae Sot District and Township Administration, Border Guard Police Unit 346, local administrative officials, and village security force members have jointly inspected the security situation in the border area and temporary security camps capable of receiving displaced persons from the fighting. According to the inspections, it was found that the designated security camps are ready to accommodate approximately 300 displaced persons from the fighting, but officials stated that no displaced persons from Myanmar have entered Thailand so far. Furthermore, the Thai Army and relevant authorities inspected the shells that landed in Thailand and found three 12.7 mm caliber shells inside Huay Mahawon Village.
