General Ko Ko Oo from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) appointed as Union Minister for Home Affairs

General Ko Ko Oo from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) has been appointed as the Union Minister for Home Affairs through Order No. 6/2026, which has the force of law, issued by the President's Office today, September 17. The President's Order stated that in accordance with Article 212 (a) and (b), Article 232 (b) (3) of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and Article 12 (a) (3) of the Law on the Union Government, Lieutenant General Nyan Win Swe, the former Union Minister for Home Affairs, has been reinstated to his original military duties, and General Ko Ko Oo from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) has been appointed and assigned as the Union Minister for Home Affairs.
