Chiang Mai Foundation Provides Aid to Disabled Mother Caring for Bedridden Daughter
A heartbreaking situation has emerged in Chiang Mai, where a severely disabled mother struggles to care for her bedridden daughter. A charitable foundation has stepped in to provide aid, including food and cat supplies, but ongoing support is urgently needed.
CHIANG MAI – A deeply heartbreaking story is currently unfolding right in the middle of bustling Chiang Mai city. Inside a tiny home in Soi Suriyawong 6, a severely disabled mother struggles daily to survive. Because she cannot walk, she must carefully crawl across the floor to care for her child. Before this tragedy, the daughter was actually the primary financial provider for this small family. Unfortunately, she underwent a very complex spinal cord surgery back in April of this year. That serious medical operation left her entirely bedridden and completely unable to care for herself. Each new morning presents a massive physical challenge for this incredibly devoted elderly mother. She must slowly drag her body across the hard floor just to cook a simple meal. She also routinely crawls to bathe her sick daughter and properly empty her heavy bedpan. Fortunately, some much-needed humanitarian assistance has finally reached this truly desperate and struggling local household. A highly respected monk named Phra Khru Od Weerawatdhano recently led a compassionate local rescue team. They traveled from the Phetkasem Chiang Mai Foundation to personally check on the two vulnerable women. The charitable foundation team did not just bring basic food supplies for the humans. They also brought several large bags of nutritious cat food for the household to use. The elderly mother lovingly cares for four pet cats alongside her very sick adult daughter. These generous donated supplies will certainly help ease their heavy daily financial burden right now. The surprise visit also gives the grieving family the important mental strength to keep fighting. Furthermore, the charity foundation and the local monks promised to keep visiting the family regularly. Despite this recent help, this specific family still desperately needs a lot of ongoing outside support. The local rescue team is officially asking the general public to show their deep kindness. Kind citizens can quickly donate adult diapers, dried food, and other basic daily household items. Every single small charitable donation brings exciting new hope to this quiet local household today. Your ongoing personal kindness directly helps extend the breath of a loving mother and daughter. Together, the whole surrounding community can easily help them safely face another very difficult day.
