Vietnam's Wood Industry Pursues High-Value Transformation
Vietnam's wood industry is striving to overcome a situation where about 80% of raw materials are used for low-value products like wood chips and pellets, despite generating only a fraction of the sector's $18 billion export turnover. The Vietnam Timber and Forest Product Association (VIFORE) aims to boost the industry's value by developing the domestic market and resolving bottlenecks in sustainable wood material development.
