Cambodia Enhances Youth Skills in Administrative Document Drafting

In Cambodia's Kampong Thom province, an initiative aimed at fostering regional development and enhancing youth capabilities was held on September 20, 2026. The Kampong Thom Provincial Branch of the Cambodia Youth Union Federation (CYFU) collaborated with the Institute of Management and Economics Science (IMSE) to organize a training workshop on the theme of "Administrative Document Drafting." The training session took place at the IMSE Kampong Thom branch school, located in Prey Kuy village, Prey Kuy commune, Kampong Svay district. The opening ceremony was co-chaired by Mr. Chea Vanchann, Deputy Governor of Kampong Thom Provincial Administration and Chairman of the CYFU Kampong Thom Provincial Branch, and Mr. Khat Vuthy, Director of the IMSE Kampong Thom branch. Attendees included the IMSE deputy director, leadership team, teachers, and a total of 58 students (43 female). Mr. Khat Vuthy explained that the training aims to strengthen knowledge and skills in accurately drafting administrative documents in accordance with administrative principles and procedures, serving as a foundation for the participants' future studies, work, and professional roles. Deputy Governor Mr. Chea Vanchann advised and encouraged the students to study diligently, enhance their professional knowledge and skills, and prepare well for the current and future job market. He urged young people to seize learning opportunities, continuously develop their capacities, and build quality leadership characterized by ethics and responsibility. Mr. Chea Vanchann further instructed all students to study hard, respect discipline, be responsible, and manage their time effectively. He emphasized the need to seek new knowledge, improve skills in technology, foreign languages, communication, and teamwork, as these are crucial for personal and career development. He particularly urged them to maintain good conduct, etiquette, mutual respect, honesty, and to not abandon their studies when facing difficulties, reminding them that success is not achieved in a day but through consistent effort and perseverance in pursuing their dreams. This training is seen as a step towards improving administrative capacity and expanding employment opportunities for youth in Cambodia's rural areas. Amidst deepening relations with China, the cultivation of domestic human capital is a crucial element for enhancing the sustainability of economic development.
