Vietnam: More localities to implement free textbooks from 2026-2027 academic year
Vietnam's government has mandated nationwide free textbooks from the 2029-2030 academic year. However, five localities, including Ho Chi Minh City, are proactively implementing this policy earlier, from 2026-2027, based on their financial capacity and specific plans, aiming to promote educational equity.
