Vietnam Celebrates National Day with Grand Festivities and Economic Projects

Vietnam celebrated its 81st National Day on September 2nd with nationwide festivities. In Tuyen Quang province, a special art program themed "Heroic Epic - Historic Autumn" was held at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, offering citizens a chance to reflect on history. Alongside the celebrations, economic development initiatives gained momentum. Can Tho city commenced the groundbreaking ceremonies for several trọng điểm (key) projects, signifying Vietnam's commitment to economic growth and infrastructure development. Other regions, including Bac Ninh province and the Moc Chau National Tourist Area, were also adorned with flags and flowers, reflecting the festive spirit. Artistic programs celebrating the August Revolution and National Day took place in Hanoi and Lang Son province, underscoring the cultural dimension of the commemorations. These events not only aim to foster national pride but also to attract tourists. Tuyen Quang province, for instance, welcomed 168,000 visitors during the holiday break, significantly contributing to the local economy. Under its one-party system, Vietnam has pursued market-oriented reforms (Doi Moi policy), achieving remarkable economic growth in recent years. The expansion of its manufacturing sector and foreign trade has been particularly notable. While maintaining a complex relationship with China, Vietnam has deepened its economic ties. The National Day celebrations symbolize the nation's progress and reaffirm its determination for future development.
