Vietnam House Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City is celebrating its 9th anniversary with a special menu that offers modern twists on traditional Vietnamese dishes. This anniversary menu is available at both the restaurant's Dong Khoi and Union Square locations. The anniversary set menu at the Dong Khoi location offers an opportunity to explore the flavors of Vietnam from all three regions. In this space, which features classic French colonial architecture, diners can enjoy dishes that combine premium ingredients with local spices. The menu begins with "Goi Bo Wagyu Tu Vi" (Wagyu beef salad with four flavors), served with prawn crackers. This is followed by "Bao Ngu Ho Nau Cham" (Slow-cooked Abalone), inspired by the flavors of Central Vietnam, featuring abalone cooked slowly and served with sate shrimp sauce, sim chili, and caviar. Reflecting the flavors of Northern Vietnam, "Sup Bo Cau Phap Cuon Moc" (French pigeon soup with meatballs) is a clear broth with pigeon meatballs, lingzhi mushrooms, and cordyceps. Furthermore, "Ca Mu Do Hap Thuy Nhiet" (Steamed Red Grouper) uses hydrothermal steaming to preserve the fish's natural juiciness and sweetness, served with Chinese noodles, shiitake mushrooms, and bok choy. This dish is accompanied by lotus seed fried rice with XO sauce. The meal concludes with a multi-layered chocolate cake served with chili cream, balancing the bitterness and sweetness of chocolate with a mild spicy aftertaste. Meanwhile, the Union Square location presents a menu based on contemporary Vietnamese culinary concepts. Here, familiar ingredients are combined with new cooking techniques and presentation styles. Highlights include "Goi Xoai Cua Lot" (Mango Salad with Soft Shell Crab), which combines the fresh sourness of green mango with crispy fried soft shell crab. "Banh Khot Nhan Cua" (Savory Mini Pancakes with Crab Filling) is an adaptation featuring fresh crab meat, mung beans, and coconut milk. "Heo Tuyet Nhat Sốt Cà Phê" (Japanese Snow Pork with Coffee Sauce) is served with mashed lotus seeds, combining the richness of grain-fed pork with coffee sauce and lotus seed puree. "Bun Cua Ca Mau" (Crab Noodle Soup from Ca Mau) uses characteristic ingredients from the southernmost region, highlighted by its sweet broth derived from crab. According to a restaurant representative, the 9th-anniversary menu is a token of gratitude to the customers who have supported Vietnam House Restaurant over the years. "Although they have two different styles, both the Dong Khoi and Union Square locations aim to introduce Vietnamese cuisine through local ingredients, combined with cooking methods and presentations that align with contemporary culinary trends," the representative stated. Located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam House Restaurant features two contemporary Vietnamese dining spaces. The Dong Khoi branch, situated at the corner of Dong Khoi and Mac Thi Buoi streets, is distinguished by its classic French colonial architectural style and has been recognized by Michelin Selected for the 2023-2026 period. The Union Square branch, which opened in March in the Union Square building, pursues a modern design and also offers additional experiences such as afternoon tea, a Champagne Bar, and VIP rooms for meetings and client entertainment.
