Quang Ninh Province Hosts Special Art Program Commemorating 79th War Invalids and Martyrs Day

Quang Ninh Province announced that it will organize a special art program titled "Forever 20 Years Old" to express gratitude to the heroes who have sacrificed for the nation, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day. The program is jointly organized by the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated that this activity holds special political and cultural significance, demonstrating profound respect and gratitude towards heroes, war invalids, Vietnamese heroic mothers, martyrs' relatives, and those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution. It also aims to educate patriotism, nurture revolutionary ideals, and awaken the aspiration and responsibility of current generations towards national construction and defense. Following government directives, Quang Ninh has been selected as one of five localities to lead large-scale art programs as part of national commemorative activities for the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day. This selection acknowledges Quang Ninh's significant contributions, particularly the traditions of the working class in the mining region and the immense sacrifices made by its people across generations for national liberation and defense. The program, themed "Forever 20 Years Old," will combine historical commentary with modern art. It is scheduled to take place at 8:10 PM on July 24th at 30/10 Square, Ha Long Ward, with an expected audience of 40,000 people. The event will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television (VTV) and Quang Ninh Radio and Television, aiming to widely disseminate the significance of the tribute activities nationwide. The program will be divided into three chapters: "Youth Dedicated to the Nation," "Journey of Memory and Gratitude," and "Reunion and Aspiration for the Future." Against the backdrop of the nation's historical milestones, the program will depict many symbolic events and figures from Quang Ninh, such as the labor movement in the mining region, miners-soldiers, the Than Coal Corps, the Ho Chi Minh trail at sea, and the province's outstanding children who bravely sacrificed themselves in past wars. This will highlight Quang Ninh's contributions to national liberation, reunification, and defense. Notably, significant focus will be placed on the 500-day operation to accelerate the search, collection, and identification of martyrs' remains, as directed by the government. This endeavor is portrayed as a continuation of responsibility and gratitude in peacetime, aiming to alleviate the pain of war, fulfill the wishes of martyrs' families, and affirm the determination of the entire Party, people, and army in carrying out the policy of "repaying gratitude." To facilitate participation, 40,000 invitations and tickets will be issued, including 10,000 free online registration tickets for the public and tourists, and 30,000 invitations for delegates. Online ticket registration will open on July 18th. All invitations and tickets will be managed and controlled via QR codes to prevent forgery and unauthorized transfers. Attendees are required to present their citizen ID card (physical or electronic via the VNeID app) for verification. The implementation of electronic ticketing and QR code verification is part of the province's digital transformation efforts in organizing large-scale events. To ensure the program's success, Quang Ninh Province has instructed relevant agencies to develop plans for security, traffic, healthcare, telecommunications infrastructure, and services for delegates and the public.
