Sihanoukville Concludes 33rd Political Training for Party Members

Sihanoukville, Cambodia – The 33rd political training course for members of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) concluded on Sunday, August 2, 2026, in the coastal city of Sihanoukville. The training, which spanned three days from July 31 to August 2, aimed to enhance the political understanding and practical application of party policies among its members. Presiding over the closing ceremony was H.E. Mang Sineth, a member of the CPP Central Committee and the party chief of Sihanoukville Province. He addressed the 84 participants, including 18 women, commending their dedication and active engagement throughout the course. During the training, participants delved into various key topics, including the history, activities, achievements, and leadership experience of the CPP. Other modules covered mass mobilization work, the party''s political program, understanding party statutes, the current situation in Cambodia and immediate tasks, and the cultivation of good character and morality within the party. Mr. Sa Kakda, Chairman of the CPP Sihanoukville Municipal Committee, presented a summary report on the training, highlighting the participants' comprehension levels. According to his report, 41 participants demonstrated a good understanding (78%), while 38 showed a fairly good understanding (69%). H.E. Mang Sineth emphasized the importance of translating the knowledge gained into practical action at the grassroots level, aligning with the CPP's policies. He urged party members to strengthen their capacities and expand party membership at the village, commune, and district levels, stressing the need for successors to carry forward the party's mission. "For the nation to be strong, it starts with strong citizens enhancing the capabilities of successors," he stated, underscoring the collective path to success. The provincial party chief also shared insights into the international landscape, reminding members of their roles and responsibilities. The training is viewed as a crucial initiative to bolster the CPP's leadership and organizational strength, contributing to the nation's peace, political stability, and development, as guided by Party President Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.
