Vietnam Busts Gold Smuggling Ring Worth Nearly $40 Million

Thanh Hoa Province Police in Vietnam have arrested six individuals and launched an investigation into a large-scale gold smuggling ring suspected of bringing approximately 200 kg of gold bars into the country from Cambodia, valued at nearly VND 1,000 billion ($40 million). The suspects allegedly exploited the price difference between domestic and international gold markets.
