Oriental Mindoro's power grid was placed on Red Alert on September 7 due to a projected supply deficit. However, no power interruptions occurred as actual supply from Independent Power Producers (IPPs) exceeded expectations and demand was lower due to cooler weather, the Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (ORMECO) reported.
