TAKHIAN TIA – August 4th, 2026 – Mayor Mitchai Prakobtham of Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality led the opening ceremony of a project promoting learning activities based on local knowledge sources and traditional wisdom. The event took place at Suan Fa Sai Aiko in Village No. 2 in the Takhian Tia Subdistrict. The project focuses on distinct local cultural practices and skills, including the production of "coconut coffee," the creation of "natural-dye tie-dye fabrics" using traditional dyes, and the practice of "Gua Sha massages." The initiative aims to enhance community identity and create new income opportunities for residents. Deputy Mayor Wachira Suthoe, along with local administrative officials and a large number of residents, attended the opening ceremony, expressing their anticipation for the project's success. Mayor Prakobtham highlighted the significance of effectively utilizing local resources and ensuring the transmission of traditional culture to future generations. Takhian Tia is recognized for its abundant natural resources and traditional lifestyle.
