Meeting with Affairs Committees: Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker met with affairs committees

The Speaker of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and the Speaker of Amyotha Hluttaw U Aung Lin Dwe met with chairmen, secretaries and members of the affairs committees of the Amyotha Hluttaw at the meeting hall of the Amyotha Hluttaw Building in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday. At the meeting, the Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and Amyotha Hluttaw urged committee members to carry out their duties with genuine dedication rather than as routine tasks, stressing the need for continuous effort in the interests of the people. He also called for stronger coordination among committee members and emphasized that the standing committees should demonstrate their role through practical action as parliamentary bodies representing the will of the people, rather than working in a perfunctory manner. After the Speaker's remarks, chairmen of the affairs committees presented updates on the formation of their committees, ongoing work and the distribution of responsibilities. Deputy Speaker of the Amyotha Hluttaw Jeng Phang Naw Taung also gave detailed remarks on the presentations and discussed future work plans. The meeting concluded with a closing remark by the Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe. He then warmly greeted the chairmen of the affairs committees. The meeting was attended by Deputy Speaker of the Amyotha Hluttaw Jeng Phang Naw Taung, chairmen of the affairs committees, secretaries, committee members, and officials from the Amyotha Hluttaw Office.
