PM Orders Resolution of Bottlenecks Hindering Development Resource Utilization

Prime Minister Le Minh Khung has ordered the resolution of bottlenecks that hinder the effective utilization of development resources. The Prime Minister stated that the interconnectedness and reciprocal impacts of laws contribute to improving the legal framework, unlocking resources, creating new space for development, and ultimately achieving double-digit growth and sustainable development targets. This directive comes amidst ongoing legislative efforts, including the National Assembly Standing Committee's examination of a draft revised law on international agreements. Furthermore, proposed revisions may allow law lecturers to qualify as lawyers, and a law amending 10 laws concerning agriculture and the environment has passed the National Assembly. These legal reforms aim to accelerate Vietnam's economic growth and promote more efficient resource allocation. Under its one-party system, Vietnam pursues state-led economic growth, and the improvement of its legal framework is crucial for attracting foreign investment and revitalizing the domestic economy. In particular, in the context of its relationship with China, strengthening and diversifying the domestic economy is an urgent task to manage geopolitical risks while maintaining economic interdependence.
