Cambodian Official Rewards Top Students with Motorcycles
In Cambodia's Kandal province, a government official awarded motorcycles and financial aid to high school students who achieved top grades in their final exams, aiming to promote education and human resource development in rural areas.
On the morning of September 6, 2026, Mr. Hem Sochet, Deputy Head of the Government Working Group for Kousoutin Commune, representing H.E. Hem Sovath, Head of the Government Working Group for Kousoutin Commune, met with students of Kousoutin High School in Kousoutin Commune. This meeting was held to fulfill a promise following the results of the Baccalaureate exam held on August 10, 2026. H.E. Hem Sovath presented four motorcycles to candidates who achieved the highest grade (Nitet A). He also provided financial support to all 81 candidates from Kousoutin High School. During the event, Mr. Hem Sochet shared his personal experiences and advised the students on selecting various fields of study for their further education. He also encouraged them to continue studying diligently and take care of their health to become human resources that contribute to national development.
