India Pledges Support for Cambodian Military Capability Enhancement and Defense Technology

General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, received Colonel Adhishek Arora, the newly appointed Defence Attaché of India to the Kingdom of Cambodia, for a courtesy call and working discussion on the morning of June 30, 2026, at the General Headquarters of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. During the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for its continuous support to Cambodia in human resource development and for providing numerous specialized training courses. He also highly valued the success of the second Cambodia-India bilateral exercise in 2026, which contributed to strengthening the capabilities and cooperation between the armies of the two countries. General Vong Pisen requested continued support from the Indian side in training Cambodian troops, exchanging visits at all levels, information exchange, combating cross-border crime, disaster relief cooperation, peacekeeping missions, demining, inter-service cooperation, joint exercises, and naval ship visits. In response, Colonel Adhishek Arora expressed his pleasure in fulfilling his military diplomatic mission in Cambodia and highly praised the excellent cooperation between the Cambodian and Indian armies. He commended the capabilities of the Cambodian army in participating in the two joint exercises, which yielded excellent results. He also emphasized that India welcomes and is ready to continue supporting all of Cambodia's requests for training and enhancing the capabilities of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, in line with practical needs.
