Chinese Women Rescued from Villa Near Pattaya; Four Chinese Nationals Arrested for Alleged Kidnapping and Ransom

In a swift operation conducted shortly after midnight on September 23rd, a joint force of over 30 immigration officers, local police, tourist police, and district officials raided a two-storey townhouse in the Takhian Tia area of Banglamung, Chonburi province. The operation led to the rescue of three Chinese women who were allegedly held captive and subjected to ransom demands by a group of four Chinese nationals. According to initial reports, the victims were reportedly lured to Pattaya with promises of high-paying jobs in Thailand. However, upon arrival, they were allegedly denied the promised employment and instead confined, with their captors demanding ransom from their families or acquaintances. The coordinated raid, executed under the cover of darkness, ensured the safe recovery of the three women. The four male suspects were apprehended at the scene without incident.
