Romualdez Health Woes Emerge Amid Arrest Warrant, Plunder Case

Former House Speaker Martin Romualdez is facing an arrest warrant issued by the Sandiganbayan in connection with a P7.4-billion plunder case. The case is linked to alleged irregularities in flood control projects. Romualdez's camp submitted a nine-page manifestation to the court, stating that he was admitted to a hospital on September 7. They cited a medical history involving cardiovascular and neurological conditions. Furthermore, it was reported that Romualdez suffered an anxiety attack shortly before the arrest warrant was served. The Office of the Ombudsman filed the plunder case against Romualdez, former Ako Bicol party-list Representative Zaldy Co, and several other individuals.
