Pattaya Shrine Installs 3.9-metre Tall Phra Mae Thorani Statue for Public Worship

PATTAYA: A 3.9-metre statue of Phra Mae Thorani, the Earth Goddess, was consecrated and installed in front of the Mahakali Avatar Chakravartin Janani Temple on September 12th, 2026, in a ceremony intended to bring auspiciousness and open a new place of worship for the public. The rite was led by temple founder Ms. Amporn Kaewsaeng. Phra Mae Thorani is revered in Thai folk belief as the goddess who governs the earth, symbolizing fertility, protection, and good fortune. The installation of this large statue is expected to provide a place of spiritual solace and prayer for local residents and visitors.
