Cambodia Prioritizes Peace and Economic Development
In a meeting in Banteay Meanchey province, Cambodian People's Party official Ke Kimyan emphasized that maintaining peace and economic development are the party's top priorities. He praised national unity and the patriotism of citizens during border disputes with Thailand, and highlighted economic growth under Prime Minister Hun Manet's leadership.
Ke Kimyan, a Standing Committee Member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and Head of the CPP Working Group for Banteay Meanchey Province, clearly stated that maintaining peace and economic development are the top priorities of the CPP. Speaking at a meeting with party officials and youth in Poipet City on July 4, 2026, he noted that the successes achieved in party and government work thus far are the result of the unity between officials and all strata of the people. He sincerely praised the heroism of the people, armed forces, and working teams in Banteay Meanchey Province, who demonstrated strong nationalism during the period of facing the invading Thai army on Cambodian territory, and for helping to resolve the difficulties of the people along the border. He considered this sharing of joys and sorrows to be a significant driving force that has earned the CPP the full trust of the people in every mandate. On this occasion, Ke Kimyan highlighted the success of the dynamic leadership of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, who continues the correct political path of Samdech Techo Hun Sen. Through this wise leadership, Cambodia achieved economic growth of approximately 4.2% in the first half of 2026, which serves as evidence that despite the complex global context, Cambodia continues to maintain stability and development. Concurrently, Ke Kimyan issued key recommendations for officials at all levels to resolutely protect peace and political stability, which are the core of development. He urged them to jointly protect the nation, religion, the King, and national sovereignty.
