Yangon, July 10 One civilian was killed and houses were damaged when the military launched airstrikes on Si Paine village, located on the eastern bank of the Sittaung River in Yataeshay Township, Bago Region, without any fighting, according to a communication and information dissemination officer from the Yataeshay Township People's Defence Force. It is known that a jet fighter that took off from Taungoo Air Base dropped two bombs on Si Paine village around 1 p.m. today, July 10. The airstrike caused a bomb to directly hit and explode on the house of Ko Naing Lin, 40, from Si Paine village, resulting in his immediate death on the spot with his head severed by bomb fragments. Furthermore, his house was completely destroyed and burned to ashes. "The military carried out airstrikes without any fighting. The bomb directly hit the victim's house, completely destroying and damaging one house. A jet fighter that took off from Taungoo Air Base dropped two bombs, and Ko Naing Lin, 40, had his head severed," the source said. The Yataeshay Township People's Defence Force has issued a warning to the public on the eastern bank of the Sittaung River to pay special attention to the danger of airstrikes, as the military continues to deliberately target civilians. Similarly, it is known that the military carried out airstrikes in Yataeshay Township on June 6 without any fighting, dropping six bombs on Ngyatauk West village in Yataeshay Township from a Y-12 aircraft. As a result of that attack, U Maung Pu, 75, died on the spot with his abdomen ruptured, Ko Chit Hla, over 40, sustained life-threatening injuries as bomb fragments penetrated his abdomen, and U Aye Kyaing sustained injuries to his arm, while two civilian houses were also damaged.
