Siem Reap Province in northwestern Cambodia has announced that it will showcase the mystical and spectacular sight of the sun aligning precisely with the central tower of Angkor Wat during the 'Angkor Equinox' event, held from September 21st to 23rd. Mr. Prak Sophoan, Governor of Siem Reap Province, stated that the 'Angkor Equinox' is a beautiful and wondrous spectacle left by the ancient Khmer people, shared with humanity as an ancestral heritage. This phenomenon offers an opportunity to understand both faith and true science, serving as a significant attraction for numerous domestic and international tourists. The Angkor Equinox occurs twice a year. The first is during the Vernal Equinox, from March 21st to 23rd, and the second is during the Autumnal Equinox, from September 21st to 23rd, annually.
