Hue City Warns of Rising River Levels

In the ancient city of Hue, central Vietnam, concerns are rising over increasing river water levels. Currently, the water levels in the city's rivers are below alert level 1. However, it is predicted that within the next 24 hours, the water levels of the Huong River, Bo River, Truoi River, and O Lau River could rise from alert level 1 to alert level 2. Authorities are urging residents to take proactive measures to prepare for floods, flash floods, and landslides. Hue City is emphasizing its proactive approach to responding to heavy rain and associated natural disasters, aiming to avoid being caught off guard. This initiative is part of broader efforts to address heavy rainfall, flash floods, and landslides in the South Central and Southern regions of Vietnam. Warnings of rising river levels have also been issued for the North and Thanh Hoa province, with heavy rainfall expected from Nghe An to Hue City. Authorities have directed prompt responses to unusual heavy rains and floods, and recovery efforts are underway following past flood damage.
