Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam, Ambassador of Vietnam to Laos, described the 1977 Treaty as the enduring political and legal foundation underpinning the special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic partnership between the two countries. He stated that the agreement has guided bilateral cooperation in politics, defense, security, diplomacy, the economy, culture, education, science and technology, while continuing to serve as a strategic framework for cooperation amid global integration. The ambassador noted that nearly five decades after its signing, the treaty remains a valuable asset that future generations must preserve and further strengthen. The film 'Red Rain' recounts the fierce 81-day defense of the Quảng Trị Citadel during the Vietnam War in 1972, portraying the sacrifice, resilience, and patriotism of young soldiers who left their studies to defend their country. Beyond depicting one of the war's bloodiest battles, the film highlights the human cost of conflict and underscores the enduring value of peace.
