Foreign Leaders Congratulate Vietnam on 81st National Day

Vietnam celebrated its 81st National Day on September 2. On this occasion, leaders from India, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Brunei, and Myanmar, as well as the United Nations, sent messages and letters of congratulations to Vietnamese Party and State leaders. These congratulatory messages reflect Vietnam's standing in the international community and its good diplomatic relations with various countries. Vietnam has achieved significant economic growth in recent years and has been increasing its influence within ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations). Particularly in its relationship with China, while deepening economic ties, Vietnam pursues a balanced diplomacy amidst geopolitical tensions, including issues in the South China Sea. The congratulatory messages from the international community can be seen as a testament to the achievements of Vietnam's foreign policy. Furthermore, Vietnamese communities abroad also celebrated their homeland's National Day. Vietnamese nationals in countries such as China, Japan, Laos, and Singapore held events to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and celebrate National Day. This demonstrates the patriotism and connection to their homeland among Vietnamese citizens living overseas. Domestically, a flag-raising ceremony was held in Ha Giang province, Vietnam's northernmost province, to mark National Day. This event symbolizes national unity and sovereignty.
