Man Arrested for Robbery Attempt at Bulacan Gas Station, Found with Drugs
A man was arrested in San Rafael town, Bulacan, for allegedly attempting to rob a gasoline station. He arrived on a motorcycle with two companions, but was apprehended by responding police officers after the cashier alerted authorities. The suspect was found in possession of illegal drugs and a bladed weapon.
A man was arrested for allegedly attempting to rob a gasoline station in San Rafael town, Bulacan, early yesterday morning. Reports indicate that the suspect and his two companions arrived on a motorcycle at the gasoline station in Barangay Sampaloc at past 3 a.m. The suspect approached a pump attendant and declared the robbery, but the cashier managed to call for help, according to Lt. Col. Lawrence Gerald Bathan, acting chief of the San Rafael police. Armed with a bladed weapon, the suspect tried to enter the cashier’s booth, but responding police officers arrived and arrested him. The suspect’s companions fled on foot, leaving behind their motorcycle. Police said they recovered from the suspect two plastic sachets containing shabu, a knife, and the motorcycle.
