Police force members coming out in a car and PDF clash in Natmauk Township

(July 28) Mizzima. A clash occurred between police force members under the military junta, who were traveling in a car, and the People's Defence Force (PDF) in Natmauk Township, Magway Region, according to a statement released yesterday (July 27) by the Taunggyigyi Company, Company 3, Battalion 902 of the Naypyidaw Military Command. According to the statement, around 3:45 PM on July 27, while revolutionary force members were conducting a surprise inspection on the Myothit road section in Natmauk Township, a suspicious car fled, and they pursued and fired at it in an attempt to arrest them. During the pursuit and arrest attempt, an exchange of fire occurred, and the police force members abandoned the car they were driving and fled, according to the Taunggyigyi Company. The statement also indicated that investigations are ongoing to determine if there were any casualties on the police side during this engagement. It was learned that 74 rounds of G3 ammunition, a mobile phone, a pair of handcuffs, two hats, and a bulletproof helmet were seized from the car. The statement indicated that the engagement was carried out by the Taunggyigyi Company, Company 3, Battalion 902 of the Naypyidaw Military Command.
