Hanoi-Tuyen Quang Connection: Strengthening Tourism Cooperation for Sustainable Development

Northern Vietnam's Tuyen Quang province and the capital Hanoi are advancing initiatives to strengthen tourism cooperation between the two regions and promote sustainable development. As part of this effort, the "Hanoi-Tuyen Quang Tourism Development Cooperation Forum 2026" is scheduled to be held. The forum, set to take place on July 17 in Na Hang commune, Tuyen Quang province, will discuss how Tuyen Quang's unique tourism resources can be transformed into attractive products for the market. Particular attention is being given to success stories such as Hong Thai in Tuyen Quang province and Lu Lo Chai village, which was honored as the "World's Best Tourist Village" in 2025. These achievements are expected to significantly contribute to the revitalization of the local economy and job creation, with efforts underway to further develop them as models for sustainable tourism development. Tuyen Quang province is also focusing on ensuring traffic safety for tourists, a crucial measure to manage the increasing number of visitors, including over 252,000 during the recent Tet holiday. The Vietnamese government is promoting tourism development that leverages the unique resources of its provinces, and the cooperation between Tuyen Quang and Hanoi is seen as a way to boost the regional economy and reduce disparities with urban areas.
