Cambodian Donor in Germany Gifts 3 Tons of Rice to Pagoda

U Vibol Siri, a Cambodian donor residing in Germany, gifted 3 tons of rice to Wat Svay Romiet (Baray Maha Thei Ratana Ram Pagoda) located in Tuk Vil commune, Siem Reap city, Siem Reap province, on the morning of September 3, 2026. This donation aims to support the daily sustenance of monks residing and studying at the pagoda, as well as contribute to the development of Buddhism. U Vibol Siri stated that this rice donation is a small contribution to support the monks who are fulfilling their monastic duties, studying Buddhist teachings, and training future monks. He emphasized that Buddhism is the foundation of Khmer morality and culture, requiring the participation of all Buddhists to preserve it. He also appealed to philanthropists and Buddhists to continue supporting the Buddhist sector by participating in the construction and support of various pagodas, as this contributes to preserving cultural heritage and strengthening morality in society. Phra Satchanupal Noem Vutthi, the abbot of Wat Svay Romiet, expressed his gratitude to U Vibol Siri for the significant donation of rice, considering it a valuable contribution to supporting the daily lives, studies, and Buddhist practices of the monks at the pagoda during the rainy season retreat.
