The 7th Central Committee Meeting (2026) of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) was held today (September 18, 2026, at 9:00 AM) at the conference hall of the party headquarters. It is known that the 7th Central Committee Meeting (2026) of the Union Solidarity and Development Party, held at the meeting hall of the USDP headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw, was attended by USDP Chairman U Khin Ri, Vice Chairman U Hla Htun, General Secretary U Thaung Aye, and party officials. The ceremony opened with saluting the national flag and singing the national anthem. In his opening remarks, Party Chairman U Khin Ri offered wishes for the good health and happiness of all attendees. He then spoke about the accomplishments during his tenure as party chairman, the successful implementation of short-term and long-term objectives, the eight key sectors that were prioritized, the 90-day plan, the full moon plan, and the green plan, as well as election successes. He also urged attendees to earnestly consider the party's work processes, future successes of the USDP, strengths and weaknesses, the qualities that central committee members should possess, and proposed work processes, and to strive together to create a party that is second to none. Following this, the presidium of the Central Committee Meeting took their seats. U Thein Aung, Central Advisor, served as the chairman, along with Central Executive Committee members U Rawam John and U Aung Cho Oo. The chairman then delivered his remarks. Subsequently, Party General Secretary U Thaung Aye presented on the party's basic principles, ideology, party constitution, and procedures for electing and forming party committees at various levels. Central Secretary Dr. Than Htun reported on the completion of party committee formations at various levels by region/state. Central Secretary Dr. Kyaw Kyaw Htay presented a list of district/township party committees that have not yet been formed in accordance with procedures due to the current situation, along with provisional formations. Central Secretary U Pauk Htwe reported on the formation of groups to prepare five papers to be submitted to the party congress. Central Secretary U Thura Zaw reported on the re-assignment of party duties by former party central committee members. These reports were submitted to the Central Committee Meeting and received approval in the presence of the chairman, presidium members, and attendees. Following this, the 7th Central Committee Meeting (2026) of the Union Solidarity and Development Party concluded at 12:00 PM with the chanting of slogans. It is known that over 400 people attended the ceremony, including USDP Chairman U Khin Ri, Vice Chairman U Hla Htun, General Secretary U Thaung Aye, party central advisors, Joint General Secretary U Tin Aung Chit, invited guests, central secretaries, and central executive committee members, as well as central committee members.
