Vietnam, France Boost Cooperation in Cultural Industry Development

A delegation from the National Assembly (NA)'s Committee on Cultural and Social Affairs has engaged in discussions with agencies under the French Ministry of Culture responsible for cultural enterprises and social media platform management. The meetings focused on France's policies for developing cultural and creative industries, digital transformation, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in culture, and measures for protecting children online. This exchange comes as Vietnam, while prioritizing economic growth under its one-party system, is increasingly turning its attention to cultural and social aspects. The Vietnamese delegation sought to learn from France's advanced experiences in these areas. The application of AI in the cultural sector and ensuring the safety of children on digital platforms are particularly pressing issues for Vietnam. With the proliferation of social media, internet usage among the youth is rising, necessitating the establishment of a healthy online environment. France, with its pioneering experience in these fields, is expected to provide valuable insights to Vietnam. These discussions are anticipated to further strengthen cooperation between the two nations in science, technology, innovation, and culture. Vietnam and France share a historically strong relationship, and this experience-sharing could mark a period of "acceleration of history" in their bilateral ties. Vietnam values international partnerships in its pursuit of sustained economic growth and overall societal development, with deeper cultural exchange with France being a key component of this strategy.
