Vietnam Boosts Presence at China-ASEAN Expo, Driving Exports and Regional Ties
Vietnam is actively participating in the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), aiming to expand its reach into the Chinese market and boost exports. The country has secured significant exhibition space with numerous companies showcasing their products. Efforts are also underway to strengthen railway construction and regional economic cooperation.
Vietnam is further enhancing its presence at the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), a crucial gateway for Vietnamese businesses entering the Chinese market. With a track record of nearly 4,300 booths and around 2,200 enterprises participating over 22 editions of CAEXPO, Vietnam has once again secured one of the largest exhibition areas among ASEAN countries this year, spanning approximately 3,000 square meters and featuring 170 booths, demonstrating its active contribution to the event. Leveraging the close geographical and cultural ties between Vietnam and China, prominent Vietnamese products such as coffee, wood products, and footwear have penetrated the Chinese market through CAEXPO, transitioning rapidly from exhibition to actual sales. Major brands including Trung Nguyen Group, TH Group, Saigon Coffee, and Biti’s are among the confirmed participants, highlighting Vietnam's industrial capabilities and export ambitions. As a driver of economic growth, Vietnam aims to expand its export markets and deepen its engagement in global value chains. Ho Chi Minh City is implementing a range of tasks and solutions to enhance business competitiveness, promote sustainable exports, and expand markets, aspiring to solidify its position as a regional hub for trade, logistics, and international economic integration. In infrastructure development, cooperation between Vietnam and China is also progressing. The Ministry of Construction has tasked the Vietnam Railway Authority with developing detailed plans alongside relevant Chinese agencies for the Hai Phong–Ha Long–Mong Cai railway, slated for completion in 2026. This marks a significant step towards improving inter-regional logistics efficiency and strengthening economic ties. With its network of 17 free trade agreements (FTAs), stable investment environment, improving production capacity, and strategic location in Southeast Asia, Vietnam continues to be a top priority for international corporations seeking new sources of supply. The advancement of digitalization is expected to further enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese products in the international market by expanding their reach to consumers beyond geographical limitations.
