Thailand Cracks Down on Illegal Bitcoin Mining Operations, Causing Over 40 Million Baht in Damages

Thailand's Ministry of Interior and the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) have cracked down on illegal Bitcoin mining operations using illicit electricity, conducting searches at 14 locations across five provinces and seizing 315 mining rigs. The operation resulted in damages exceeding 40 million baht. The government plans to intensify crackdowns to ensure grid stability and fair electricity costs for legal users.
