Top leader calls for clearer rules on Party members engaged in private business

The private sector is increasingly emerging as a key growth engine of the economy. To unleash its potential and ensure sustainable development, the northern province of Phu Tho is stepping up institutional and administrative reforms to cut costs, shorten procedures, and build a more transparent, business-friendly investment climate. Rather than applying broad-based support policies, the programme focuses on identifying and assisting businesses with outstanding growth potential. Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu called for effective measures to protect officials who dare to think creatively, act, take responsibility and innovate for the common good. This suggests an intent to encourage a more dynamic approach to economic activities under Party guidance. Vietnam will continue to play an active and responsible role in multilateral mechanisms and promote international cooperation based on respect for international law, greater trust, and joint efforts to address common challenges. Recent high-level diplomatic engagements include the State visit to Vietnam by King of Thailand Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung's meetings with foreign leaders on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Summit, and the signing of a five-year MoU on health cooperation with the US. These engagements aim to strengthen Vietnam's international ties and capture economic opportunities. Prime Minister Le Minh Hung identified Saudi Arabia as one of Vietnam's most important partners in the Middle East and expressed a desire for further development of bilateral relations. He also thanked Burundi for supporting Lumitel, a joint-telecommunications joint venture of Vietnam’s Viettel Group in Burundi, and called for its expanded participation in e-government and digital transformation projects, showcasing Vietnamese companies' overseas expansion and deepening bilateral cooperation. Vietnam's development model centers on its people, institutional reform, modern governance, and science and technology, ensuring harmony among economic growth, social equity, and environmental protection. Vietnam affirmed its readiness to cooperate with BRICS nations in a spirit of responsibility, goodwill, and substantive cooperation to create a peaceful, prosperous, sustainable, and inclusive future for all.
