800 Families Affected by Floods in Batac City Receive DSWD Aid
Approximately 800 families were affected by flooding in Batac City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, due to heavy rains from Typhoon Kiyapo. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) provided emergency assistance, including food packs, to the affected families, with relief operations conducted swiftly.
SAN ILDEFONSO, ILOCOS SUR, Philippines — Around 800 families in Batac City, Ilocos Norte, were affected by flooding caused by heavy rains from recent Typhoon Kiyapo (international name: Noul) and received emergency assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Sunday, July 26. According to DSWD Field Office 1 , each affected family received one Family Food Pack, while 20 families temporarily staying in evacuation centers also received one Family Kit each for additional support.
