Myanmar Grants Amnesty to 1,508 Prisoners on Buddha Day, Including Foreigners

Myanmar has granted amnesty to a total of 1,508 prisoners nationwide, including 11 foreign nationals, to mark the full moon day of Kason (Buddha Day). Among those released on April 30 were 423 inmates from Insein Central Prison in Yangon and 91 from Mandalay Central Prison.
