Ho Chi Minh City Holds Memorial Ceremony for Fallen Soldiers Amidst Cemetery Excavation

Ho Chi Minh City held a memorial ceremony for fallen soldiers and patriots at Le Thi Rieng Park, formerly the Do Thanh cemetery. Organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Sangha, the event commemorates the upcoming Vietnamese Martyrs and Fallen Soldiers Day and promotes Buddhism's tradition of 'protecting the nation and bringing peace to the people.' Excavation work is also underway in the park to locate collective graves believed to contain victims from the 1968 Mau Than offensive.
