PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan has expressed deep condolences to the victims and their families following a traffic accident that occurred in Satui District, Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan, on August 1, 2026. Regarding the circulating information about a tanker allegedly involved in the accident, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan stated that it has conducted an internal investigation. Preliminary findings from the investigation indicate that the vehicle in question is not registered as a Pertamina operational fleet. Furthermore, the vehicle is not recorded as having performed any service activities at a Pertamina Terminal. "We continue to coordinate with the relevant parties to ensure the information regarding this vehicle. We fully entrust the handling and investigation process to the authorities," Edi emphasized. Pertamina reiterated its commitment to continue coordinating with relevant agencies to obtain accurate information about the vehicle suspected of involvement in the accident. Meanwhile, the investigation process for the incident on the Trans Kalimantan Road is still ongoing and being handled by the competent authorities.
