For the capacity enhancement of Hluttaw representatives, the Joint Coordinating Committee on Hluttaw Development (JCC) and the Ministry of Education jointly organized the clarification session on nation’s education sector development activities at Hluttaw Building in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday. Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi, Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Deputy Speaker Jeng Phang Naw Taung and concerned officials joind the session. In his remarks, the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker outlined the purpose of the session which is to widen the understanding of Hluttaw representatives in nation’s education process as well as to enhance their capabilities and contributions to the interest of the nation. The Speaker also underscored the pivotal role of human resource development, education sector and law enfrocement in nation building process and called for the active participation of the attendees for the best outcomes. Deputy Minister for Education Dr. Zaw Myint made clarifications on education sector promotion activities including reducing education costs, requisite assistance for ethnic language centers, new faculty members assignment at respective areas in need, infrastructure provision, conducting comprehensive courses, non-formal education promotion, open university system, student centered education, interactive teaching and learning and teacher capacity enhancement. The session also focused on legal awareness courses, learning management system and further plans, AI+ education, digital education encouragement, honoring those who excel, outstanding youths project, as well as collaboration activities with the international organization. During the session, the Hluttaw representatives made discussions pertaining to upgrade Myanmar’s education sector and the Deputy Minister supplemented the discussions.
