Military drones attack school in Pwintbyu Township, Ouk Pho village, damaging some classrooms without fighting

Some classrooms, including the Grade 10 classroom building, of the Basic Education High School (Branch) in Ouk Pho village, Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region, were damaged when the terrorist military forces attacked with drones without any fighting, local residents told Yangon Khit Thit Media. It is known that members of the SAC forces, who came out with about 30 troops from the direction of Sagu Township on the afternoon and evening of July 10, set up camp at a checkpoint in Kyit Koing village, Pwintbyu Township. It is understood that 81mm mortar shells were then dropped by drones and attacked towards Ouk Pho village. Residents said that the military dropped two bombs by drone in the afternoon and dropped another four bombs in the evening. The bombs dropped in the evening fell and exploded inside the Ouk Pho village high school (branch) compound, damaging the Grade 10 classroom building. Although no students, teachers, or local residents were injured in the drone bombing, fear has spread among teachers and students due to the military's targeting of the school, and they are hesitant to even attend classes. Local residents said that before the military carried out such attacks, propaganda was spread through fake social media accounts, claiming that students were not allowed to attend classes in areas controlled by PDF in Pwintbyu Township. "Before this, the military spread propaganda through fake accounts, saying that the PDF in the PDF-controlled areas of Pwintbyu did not allow students to study. In the end, they came and destroyed the school where students were studying. They are the ones who do not want them to study," the local resident continued. Similarly, on June 6, Pyu Saw Htee members and soldiers from Kyaw Kone Gyi village, Pwintbyu Township, attacked Le Pu Kalay village and Ngau Pin Soke village with drones without any fighting occurring in the area. Although there were no civilian casualties or damage to houses in the June 6 attack, local residents are increasingly concerned about their safety as the military is now carrying out drone bombing attacks on civilian areas, including villages and schools where there is no fighting.
