Military and ammunition supply train service between Myitkyina-Mogok launched, military vessels being prepared on Ayeyarwaddy River

The interim government has resumed train services between Myitkyina and Mogok under the title "For the Benefit of the Nation and the People" starting yesterday, July 21, to reshape military, ammunition, and supply routes within Kachin State, it has been learned. Kachin State Interim Government Chief Minister U Hket Htin Nan, Commander of the Northern Military Command, and departmental officials attended the train service commencement ceremony held yesterday morning. "The military will use vehicle routes up to Myitkyina for transporting weapons, ammunition, and rations to the upper regions, and will use trains from Myitkyina to Mogok," a military source from Kachin told the Ayeyarwaddy Times. As for the train services, the No. 49 Up Mogok-Myitkyina train will depart Mogok at 6 AM and arrive in Myitkyina at 1:15 PM, while the No. 50 Down Myitkyina-Mogok train will depart Myitkyina at 6 AM and arrive in Mogok at 1 PM. It is understood that the train will stop at stations such as Mogaung, Taungni, Mingun, Hopin, and Myothitkaseik along the route. On the other hand, the military is also concurrently utilizing waterway routes to supply military ammunition, rations, and reinforcements to gain military superiority in Kachin State and Upper Myanmar. Military vessels for the supply of ammunition, rations, and reinforcements heading towards Bhamo city are being prepared based at Gawun Port in Mandalay and the Thanlyin Naval Base. Furthermore, according to the latest information obtained from military sources, advance attack vessels, warships, and coastal vessels are currently stationed and based in the Shwemyaykar area for the security of military columns and offensives.
