The "Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026," held in Vietnam's central Khanh Hoa province from July 17-19, has concluded with significant success. Over the three days, more than 40 cultural, artistic, sports, and tourism events were organized, attracting nearly 788,000 visitors. Among them, 225,000 were overnight stays, and approximately 50,000 were international tourists. The festival is estimated to have generated over 1,300 billion VND (approximately $55 million USD) in tourism revenue, marking a substantial boost to the local economy. As the province's first national-level cultural and tourism event following administrative boundary adjustments, the festival featured a series of special programs, including art performances, street festivals, and cultural exchange spaces. It not only promoted Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa as a vibrant coastal destination rich in identity but also reaffirmed the role of cultural events in stimulating tourism demand and driving the service economy. At the closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, stated that the festival successfully disseminated love for the sea and islands, a message of green development, and the province's aspiration for integration to thousands of visitors. He emphasized Khanh Hoa province's clear determination to make this festival an annual event with national and regional reach, from meticulous preparation to systematic implementation. Beyond the efforts of the local government, the participation of nearly 20 major domestic enterprises significantly enhanced the festival's appeal and value. These companies not only supported the organization but also introduced numerous experiential activities, contributing to the promotion of the destination and providing further impetus for the province's tourism sector. Notably, Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Joint Stock Corporation (SABECO), a leading entity in Vietnam's beer industry, participated with its "Bia Saigon" brand, actively spreading the spirit of hospitality, love for the sea and islands, and the community connection values that the festival aimed to foster. Ms. Patsy Lim, Deputy General Director of Marketing at SABECO, commented, "We believe the true value of any festival lies not just in its scale or the activities over a few days, but in its ability to connect people and create beautiful memories long after the event concludes. The Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026 is such an occasion. By accompanying the festival, SABECO and Bia Saigon aspire to spread the spirit of hospitality, pride in maritime culture, and create moments of connection between local residents and tourists. In particular, we hope that the smooth taste of Bia Saigon EP has contributed to a more complete experience for a festival that is gradually reaching national and international levels." This is not the first time SABECO has partnered with Khanh Hoa for a significant event. Over the years, the company has implemented numerous community-oriented activities in the locality, from Tet celebrations with residents to community support initiatives. In late March, SABECO also sponsored the 2026 Tien Phong National Marathon Championship in Khanh Hoa. These activities contribute to promoting tourism and services, enhancing Khanh Hoa's image, and reflecting the company's long-term commitment to supporting the province's socio-economic development. As Vietnam's tourism sector continues to assert its position regionally and internationally, festivals like the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival not only promote destinations but also serve as a bridge to introduce the diversity of Vietnamese culture and people to both domestic and international visitors. For such events to have a lasting impact, businesses contribute not only resources but also by enhancing attendee experiences and expanding the influence of cultural events. With over 150 years of partnership with Vietnam, SABECO continues to choose to support cultural festivals and community activities nationwide. Each event serves as an opportunity to connect people with tourists, spread local culture, and inject new vitality into destinations on their journey towards sustainable tourism development.
