Ex-Comelec chair wins Cotabato City 1st District seat in BARMM Parliament
Sheriff Abas, former chairman of the Philippines' Commission on Elections, won the race for the Cotabato City 1st District seat in the Bangsamoro Parliament during the region's first parliamentary elections. Abas secured 57.75% of the vote under the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP), affiliated with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
