On the evening of September 6, the finals of the "Hoa Lư Beauties 2026" contest were held at the Phạm Thị Trân Theater in Hoa Lư ward, Ninh Binh Province. The event was organized by the Ninh Binh Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with relevant agencies. Over four previous editions, the contest has become a meaningful cultural activity that honors the physical beauty, soul, talent, and intellect of young women from the ancient capital region of Hoa Lư in the new era. Held this year within the broad cultural space of Ninh Binh Province after its merger, where historical, cultural, and traditional values converge and spread, the event aims to educate kindness, love for the homeland, and preserve the traditional values of Vietnamese women. This occasion also serves to promote the image of Ninh Binh's land and people, along with its outstanding cultural, historical values, and scenic spots to a wide audience, both domestically and internationally. Launched in March 2026, the contest attracted a large number of contestants from various localities, age groups, and professions within the province, including many students from universities and academies nationwide. Prior to the finals, contestants had gone through preliminary rounds, auditions, and participated in community activities, charity work, local tourism promotion, and talent competitions. At the final night, 20 outstanding contestants competed in three segments: Vietnamese Ao Dai, swimwear, and evening gown. Following these performances, the organizing committee selected the top five contestants to compete in the Q&A round. Ultimately, with her intelligence and composure, contestant Đỗ Thị Thảo, with competition number 66, from Nam Hoa Lư ward, was crowned "Hoa Lư Beauties 2026." The second "Hoa Lư Beauties" title went to Nguyễn Bích Ngọc, number 59, from Hoa Lư ward, and the third to Dương Khánh Huyền, number 125, from Yên Phương commune. In addition, the organizing committee awarded several subsidiary prizes, including Best Q&A, Most Talented, Most Friendly, Best Swimwear, Best Evening Gown, Miss Photogenic, Best Ao Dai, Most Charming Face, and Most Inspirational. These titles not only recognize the contestants' efforts and their journey to shine but also open a new chapter for them to continue spreading the beauty, culture, and image of their homeland, Ninh Binh. Furthermore, the contestants may have opportunities to be nominated and introduced for participation in the Miss Vietnam pageant and other prestigious beauty competitions.
